Henderson's growth means more homes, more families, and more calls for help. Carrie has fought to make sure the fire department has the resources, equipment, and protections to meet that demand. During her time in office, she has:
- Secured two new engines, ladder trucks, and additional apparatus
- Pushed for rescue services at every station
- Helped redevelop the former Camping World site into Station 81
- Stood firm against legislation that weakens first responders, including fighting for Heart and Lung Benefits
The result: A modernized fleet. Broader emergency coverage. Stronger protections for the firefighters who serve Henderson every day.

The gains Ward III has made on public safety didn't happen by accident. They happened because Carrie Cox put officers, firefighters, and residents first, every time by:
- Securing two new engines, ladder trucks, and additional apparatus

- Supported fire prevention programs, including drowning prevention and hot car awareness for children and pets
